It is an experience that should be done at least once in a lifetime. To find oneself immersed in nature is already in itself a wonderful sensation for the spectacle that it continually offers us, but to experience these sensations in the saddle of a horse is something wonderful. You feel that he himself is part of this nature. You can create a natural symbiosis with him, you can get to breathe with his own breath and look with his own eyes. In the saddle of a horse you soon forget the stress of everyday life and leave room for relationship, beauty, peace and all that nature can transmit.

A horseback ride can give you emotions that you do not expect and make you discover a fantastic world, such as that of equestrian tourism.

Reining is an equestrian discipline typical of American-style riding and takes its origin from the work that cowboys did with horses to gather and move the herds of cattle in the prairies. Reining was born, therefore, as a workhorse, where horses had to be not only docile, but agile, fast, and above all they had to respond instantly to the commands that the riders gave them with the reins (from which it takes its name). Reining was born as a sport from the competitions that saw the most skilled cowboys, with the best-trained horses, put themselves to the test with various manoeuvres, such as sliding stop and spin or turns.

In today’s competitions, the horse-rider pair must measure itself in various manoeuvres of different degrees of difficulty, defined in the pattern or racecourses, where it will demonstrate with its skill its degree of preparation. In this equestrian discipline, as in dressage, the perfect syntony between horse and rider emerges: in fact, the technical precision, the ease with which the movements foreseen in the pattern are carried out, together with speed, are the elements of judgement.

Working riding is an equestrian sport that is not included among the disciplines included in the WEGs. Maremma riding is included in this discipline.

The competitions – individual and team – are divided into various tests that highlight the origin of this type of riding: training, attitude, gincana, and sbrancamento, a test that consists of isolating a calf from the herd in the shortest time possible.

Showjumping is a term that identifies a discipline of horsemanship, in which the man-horse combination is engaged in the interpretation and resolution of an obstacle course.[1] In the common meaning of the term, we speak of horse competition.
