Bach at the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso

After the success of last year’s edition, the 2015 edition will be repeated with “Pontassieve in Festa”: a day dedicated to volunteering, social work and respect for the environment that will take place on Sunday, April 12th in Pontassieve.

Many events will animate throughout the day the historic center, the heart of Pontassieve for a day is promoted by Confesercenti with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Pontassieve.

It starts at 9.30 am from the Clock Tower with a walk on the hills of Pontassieve up to Pievecchia, under the guidance of the GEO group of Sieci and the C.A.I. Florence Subsection of Pontassieve (initiative reserved for members UISP and CAI – For information Daniele 328/6652874). From 3.30 p.m. it will be possible to take guided tours, organized by ProLoco Pontassieve, of the Clock Tower, which will allow visitors to rediscover its historical charm. It will also be a day for children with many events dedicated to them; in Piazza Boetani the theme is “Let’s respect the environment”, recycling and creativity workshops organized by AER, Istituto Comprensivo di Pontassieve, and Scuola Giuntini. Via Tanzini and Via Ghiberti will host an agri-food market of the short supply chain by the Association “Let’s Save Agriculture”, an exhibition “Art, Ingenuity and Collectibles” by the Florentine Collectors and “Extemporaneous Painting” with the protagonist the Association Colors of the Florentine Levant In Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II the theme is “Let’s get to know the Civil Protection” and “Let’s protect the territory” with an exhibition of vehicles and activities for children who will try their hand at two tests: “Let’s learn how to put out a fire” and “Try the radio transmitter” with the Civil Protection of the Blue Cross and Misericordia, Corpo Forestale dello Stato, Corpo Polizia Municipale Arno Sieve. In Piazza XIV Martiri the theme is “Let’s learn First Aid” with practical tests of First Aid with Croce Azzurra and Misericordia. It will also be possible to make blood donations without reservation at the Misericordia di Pontassieve (Via Vittorio Veneto 2) from 8.00 to 11.00 and by reservation at 348/4260632 at the Croce Azzurra di Pontassieve (Via di Rosano 17) from 7 to 10.30.
